Effective October 13, 2026
This policy covers DataCEVA Layoff Notices, the service DataCEVA LLC ("DataCEVA", "we") provides to ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants for looking up WARN Act layoff notices. It explains what we receive when you use it and what we do with it.
What we receive
When you ask a question that uses the service, your AI assistant sends us the search details needed to answer it, for example a company name, state, place, industry or date range. We do not receive your name, email address, account details or your conversation.
What we keep
- Request logs. Each request is logged with the tool used, the search details above and the time taken. When the request comes through ChatGPT or Claude, it reaches us from their servers, so we do not see your IP address. If you connect to the service directly (for example from developer tools), our hosting provider's logs record the connecting IP address.
- We use no cookies, no tracking and no advertising, and we don't build profiles of users.
- These web pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google when you open them. The pages set no cookies.
How we use it
Only to run the service, fix problems, keep it secure and understand which features are used. We don't sell or rent this information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Render hosts the service and its logs.
- Supabase hosts the database of notices. Your search details are not stored there.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Request logs are deleted automatically by our hosting provider within 30 days.
Your choices and rights
There is no account, so there is no profile to delete. You can stop using the service at any time by disconnecting it in your AI assistant. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to get a copy, or to have it deleted. Because we don't receive your name or account, we usually can't link log entries to you, but email access@dataceva.com and we will help.
The notices themselves
The layoff notices are public records published by state agencies. They describe employers, not individual employees, and we remove personal contact details that appear in state files. If you believe a notice contains your personal information, email us and we will review it.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly receive information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date.
